How to Add Invoice in Workstatus ?



Workstatus provides a straightforward invoicing feature that helps track billable hours and generate clear, professional invoices.
It supports detailed reporting, and smooth integration with time tracking, making it easier to manage billing and payments accurately.

Roles and Permissions:



Owner/Manager: They can Add/View Invoices.
Delivery Head: They can't Add/View Invoices.
Team Lead (User): They can't Add/View Invoices.
Department Head (User): They can't Add/View Invoices.
Project Manager (User): They can't Add Budgets, but they can View Budgets if enabled from Project Settings.

Don’t worry, creating Invoices within Workstatus is simple. Read out section below to learn more about how to add Invoices :

Step 1 : Select Financials then Invoicing from the main navigation menu. We can see the headers as below:



Step 2: Redirected to Invoice listing page, Click on Add Invoice button:



Step 3: You will see Add Invoice drawer with following fields, please fill up the required details:



Project: Select the project under which you want to Add Invoice.
Invoice Number: You will see the auto-generated Invoice # update from Settings.
Invoice Name: Enter the name or title of the Invoice
Issue Date: Please select Issue date of the Invoice from Calendar.
Due Date: Please select Due date of the Invoice from Calendar.
Additional Information: This will include "Purchase Order Number" and any "Note" if you want to add along with Invoice.
Type: Select the type of the budget, either "Fixed Price" or "Time Based".



Fixed Price: Here, you will be able to Add Invoice with a fixed price in your required currency (among the currencies added in your organisation).



Based on Time & Expense: Here, your Invoice amount will vary according to the billed timesheet of project users with respect to their bill rate and the billed expenses added in particular invoice.

Step 4: Click on "Add Invoice" button to save your Invoice. Now, you will see your Invoice on Invoice listing page.
