# How to give Workstatus screen capture permissions on MacOS Big Sur?

With macOS Big Sur(11.6), Apple introduced new security and privacy features for your Mac. To ensure that Workstatus is able to capture screenshots of your screen, you will need to grant our app access. 

Please follow the steps below to do that:

* Give Workstatus screen capture permissions
* Troubleshoot issues with screenshots
 
### Give Workstatus screen capture permissions

* **STEP 1**

On your Mac, select System Preferences from the Apple menu.

* **STEP 2**

Click the icon labeled Security & Privacy.

* **STEP 3**

Click the Privacy tab at the top, then select Screen Recording from the left-hand column. Finally, check the box next to Workstatus to allow our app to capture your screen.

### Troubleshoot issues with screenshots

There is a common issue that all applications using screen recording on Catalina can face. If you have followed the above instructions and screenshots are still not getting captured, please follow the steps below:

* **STEP 1**

Quit Workstatus

* **STEP 2**

Uncheck Workstatus from the allowed applications in Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Screen Recording

* **STEP 3**

Quit the Security and Privacy area:

* **STEP 4**

Open Workstatus again
 
###  If those steps do not work, then you will need to:

1. Open Spotlight by clicking the magnifying glass icon or pressing CMD + SPACE
2. Type “Terminal” and double click the Terminal application when you see it listed in Spotlight
3. In the terminal window type “tccutil reset All” and press enter
4. Open Workstatus
