# How to set Bill/Pay rate of members

### Roles and Permissions:

* Owner/Manager: They can edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
* Delivery Head: They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
* Team Lead (User): They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
* Department Head (User): They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
* Project Manager (User): They can edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.

Step 1: Go to Project Overview, click on 3 dots and select Financials.

Step 2: Go to the Bill Rate tab and click on the Bill rate of the user whose rate you want to change.

Step 3: Edit Bill rate drawer will get open. Now do the changes with respect to Bill/Pay rate or currency and click on update button. You will get a pop-up, do the changes as mentioned below:

**Update For This Project Only:** 
* The updated rate will apply only for the selected project (other projects will remain intact) and changes will get effective from the date, member rates were updated. 
* Past timesheets remain unchanged.

**Update Site-Wide: **
* The updated rate will apply only to projects created after this update and also it will be update in global settings.
* Existing projects will continue using the old rate.
