How to Set Member Rates from Settings ?

This feature in Workstatus enhances usability by allowing managers to define default billing or pay rates for team members directly from the settings panel. This eliminates the need to manually set rates for every project, ensuring consistency and reducing the chances of errors. It also streamlines workflows by automatically applying these rates across projects, while still providing the flexibility to override them if required. As a result, reporting, invoicing, and payroll become more accurate and efficient, making the overall platform easier to use and manage.

Roles and Permissions:

• Owner/Manager: They can edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
• Delivery Head: They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
• Team Lead (User): They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
• Department Head (User): They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.
• Project Manager (User): They can't edit Member's Bill/Pay Rate.

This setting allows you to set the billing rates, that optimize revenue systems, and align your services with client expectations.

Follow the steps below:

• Step 1: Go to Settings and click on 'Set Member Rates' under Members & Roles section.

• Step 2: You will be redirected to Individual Setting of Member's Bill Rates & Pay Rates. Here, you can easily configure bill and pay rates for organization members to align with project budgets, invoices, timesheets and payrolls.

• Step 3: To update the bill rate or pay rate of any member, enter their updated rate and currency and click on save button icon.

• Step 4: Clicking on 'Save' button will open a dailog box asking for the impact of applied changes. Here, you will be able to see 2 options, both impacting differently on existing and new projects. Here, you need to select the option wisely according to your requirements.

Apply To All Projects:

• Updates the member’s rate in all existing as well as new projects.

Note: The changes will get effective from the date, member rates were updated. Also, past timesheets remain unchanged.

Apply Only For New Projects:

• The updated rate will apply only to projects created after this update.
• Existing projects will continue using the old rate.

Selecting any of the options will apply and save the updated changes in bill rate or pay rate of the individual member.
