How to view Task in Kanban View

About Kanban View




The Kanban view of a task list is a visual project management tool that helps teams and individuals track work in progress.In a Kanban view, tasks are organized into columns that represent different stages of the workflow. It provides an easy-to-understand overview of tasks and their progress. By focusing on limiting work in progress, teams can avoid bottlenecks and enhance productivity. Visual signals like color-coding, labels, or tags can be used to indicate task priority, urgency, or type. This helps teams quickly identify critical tasks.

Roles and Permissions:


Organization Owner/Manager
They can view the tasks in the Kanban view and also change the status of the all task by simply dragging and dropping.

Delivery Head
They can view the tasks in the Kanban view and also change the status of the all task by simply dragging and dropping

Project manager :
They can view the tasks in the Kanban view and also change the status of the assigned Project task by simply dragging and dropping

User
They can view the tasks in the Kanban view and also change the status of the assigned task by simply dragging and dropping.

How to view Task in Kanban View in Workstaus.



Step 1 : Navigate to the Projects Section: On the left-hand sidebar, click on the "Projects" menu.
Step 2 : Select the Desired Project: Choose the project you want to view tasks for. In the example, the selected project is "Dummy Project."
Step 3 : Go to the Tasks Tab: Once inside the project, click on the "Tasks" tab at the top.
Step 4 : Switch to Kanban View: On the right side of the screen, you'll see an option labeled "Kanban View." Ensure this option is selected to display tasks in the Kanban format.
Step 5 : View Tasks in Columns: Tasks will appear in different columns based on their status (e.g., "Yet to Start," "In Progress," "Ready for Test"). You can drag and drop tasks between columns to update their status.







How Can Change Task Status


The organisation Owner, Manager and Delivery head can change the status of all tasks by simply dragging and dropping them into the desired status column. Project Manager can can change the status of assigned Project tasks by simply dragging and dropping them into the desired status column. User can change the status of assigned tasks by simply dragging and dropping them into the desired status column.

* Step 1 : Navigate to the Task : On the left-hand side corner click (1) on it and drag and drop into desired status column.
