Inbox Notification Feature – Workstatus


Overview

The Inbox Notification System in Workstatus centralizes all updates, alerts, and important messages into a single, easy-to-access location. This ensures users stay informed without missing critical information.

Accessing the Inbox


  1. Open the Web App
  2. Locate the Inbox / Notifications icon (top navigation)
  3. Click to open the Inbox panel
  4. Browse the list of notifications



Using Notifications
  • Open a notification: Click any item to view details
  • Mark as Read/Unread: Toggle status after reviewing
  • Identify priority: Important alerts are highlighted


Notification Types

Organization Owner/Manager Notifications
  • Add New Project: Notifies admins when a new project is created, enabling oversight and proper allocation of resources.
  • Add Member in Project: Alerts admins when users are added to a project, ensuring correct team composition and access control.
  • Task Created: Informs users when a new task is assigned or created, helping them track responsibilities and start work promptly.
  • Add Timesheet: Notifies when a timesheet entry is added, ensuring proper tracking of logged work hours.
  • Edit Timesheet: Alerts users when an existing timesheet is modified, maintaining transparency in time tracking updates.
  • Approve Timesheet: Confirms that a submitted timesheet has been approved, allowing users to proceed with validated work records.
  • Reject Timesheet: Notifies users when a timesheet is rejected, often prompting review and correction.
  • Comment: Alerts users when comments are added to tasks or projects, improving collaboration and communication.
  • Task Overdue: Notifies when a task crosses its deadline, helping users take immediate action to address delays.
  • Timeoff: Informs about time-off requests or updates, ensuring visibility of personal or team availability.

User Notifications
