Task Templates

Task Templates

The Task Template feature helps save time and maintain consistency by allowing you to quickly create tasks with pre-defined details instead of starting from scratch each time. It ensures standardization across projects, reduces repetitive data entry, and minimizes errors. Teams can use it to streamline recurring workflows, improve productivity, and ensure important steps or information are never missed when creating similar tasks.

How to Save and Import Task Templates?

  • Step 1: Go to Project listing page and View project.
  • Step 2: Go to List.
  • Step 3: Click on 3 dots, here you can see option to 'Save as Task Template'.

  • Step 4: Click on 'Save as Task Template', a dailog box will appear asking for the name of the template. By default, template name will be same as task's name, its upto user if he wants to update the template's name or update it.

  • Step 5: Click on 'Save' button to save the template.

Note: A template can be created at both the task level and the task list level, meaning you can save an individual task with its details or an entire task list containing multiple tasks as a reusable template.

However, these templates can only be imported at the project level, meaning you cannot directly apply them to a single existing task or task list within a project. This ensures that the structure and details of tasks or task lists from the template are applied consistently across the entire project.

  • Step 6: To import the existing templates, click on 3 dots on project level.

  • Step 7: Clicking on 'Import Task from Templates' will open a dailog box showing the complete list of already existing templates.

  • Step 8: Select the template you want to import and click on save button. You will see a message showing successfull completion of importing the template.
