Why my Productivity % is zero OR low?

Why is my Productivity % Zero or Low?

If your Productivity % in Workstatus is showing as 0% or unusually low, it is usually caused by incorrect or incomplete Productivity Settings. Productivity percentages depend entirely on how apps and URLs are classified inside the Productivity Settings panel.

Below are the main reasons and how to fix them:

Productivity Settings Are Not Configured

If you have never set up Productivity Settings, Workstatus cannot identify which apps or URLs are “Productive,” “Neutral,” or “Non-Productive.”

What happens?

All tracked activity is treated as Neutral by default

Result: Productivity = 0%

Apps / URLs You Use for Work are marked as UnProductive

Workstatus calculates productivity based on what you classify.

Example:

If you use Chrome, VS Code, Slack, Jira, Figma, or internal systems for work but these are not marked as “Productive,” your productivity % will drop immediately.

What happens?

Your work tools = Not marked Productive

System assumes you are working on Non-Productive apps

Productivity % becomes low or zero

How to fix it:

Please follow the article to do the Productivity settings : https://support.workstatus.io/en/article/how-to-do-the-productivity-settings-169jcwy/
