How to Delete a Workstatus Account?


In Workstatus, users cannot delete their own accounts. Only Organization Owners and Managers have permission to delete user accounts.

SOFT DELETE


A user can be soft deleted in two different ways.


This is the Soft delete means this User/PM /TL data still exists and can be seen by Organization Owner in his admin account.


Click on Delete Account and then Select Yes from the popup and user is logged out of the Web app


Method 1:


Click on your Profile

  • Click on your profile icon from the top navigation bar.


Open the Members dropdown

  • select Members to view the list of all organization members.


  • Select the member to be deleted from the members list, click on the name of the member you want to delete.



  • Open the member’s profile This will redirect you to the selected member’s profile page.



Click on “Delete Account”

  • On the member’s profile page, click the Delete Account option.


Method 2: Delete a Member from People → Employees


  • Click on People from the main menu.
  • Select Employees from the dropdown.


  • Search for the member you want to delete.


  • On the member’s card, click the three-dot (⋮) menu.
  • Click on Remove Member.


  • Click on confirm remove button.


  • After clicking Remove Member, a confirmation message saying Member removed from your organization will be displayed.



HARD DELETE


  • Hard Delete means the User/PM/TL will be permanently deleted from the organization along with all associated data. Once hard deleted, the member cannot be recovered.


Steps to Hard Delete a Member


  • Go to People → Employees


Find the deleted member using any one of the following methods:


Method 1: Search after clearing filters
  • Clear all applied filters.
  • Search for the deleted member using the search bar.


Method 2: Use filter option.
  • Click on Filter.


  • In the User Type dropdown, select Deleted.
  • Click Apply.


  • The list will now show deleted members only.


  • Locate the member you want to hard delete.
  • On the member’s card, click the three-dot (⋮) menu.


  • Click on Hard Delete.


  • After clicking Hard Delete, a confirmation popup appears. Click on confirm permanent delete button
