How to Install Workstatus Windows App in Silent Mode.
The Windows Silent App can be installed in two different ways depending on how the organization owner wants to onboard the user. Follow the steps carefully to ensure successful installation.
Method 1: Installation via Email Invitation (with ZIP file)
1. Org Owner Action
- The organization owner invites the user in Silent Mode from the dashboard.
- The user will receive an email containing the Silent App ZIP file as an attachment.
2. User Action
- Download and extract the ZIP file to a local folder.
- Locate the app
.exefile inside the extracted folder. - Right-click on the
.exefile → select Run as Administrator. - The Silent App will start running in the background.
Login as Organization Owner/ Manager in WS web app and Please follow below steps:
STEP 1
Go to People >> Click on Employees>> Invite New Member
STEP 2
You can invite Silent Users below ways .
A) With sending Invitation mail to user
- Enter Email- id, User Role, select invite mode as Silent , select Send Email while inviting from dropdown ** & Click on **Invite button.
Now, Check the mail received on the invited mail id >> Click Accept and you will recieve another mail which will contain zip file
STEP 3
You will receive another mail, and upon clicking the Download Setup File button, a zip file will be downloaded. Double-click the Workstatus.exe file, and the application will be installed.
App is now installed in your PC and has started to run.

Method 2: Installation via Silent Token
1. Org Owner Action
- The organization owner adds the user to the organization and then to Members.
- From the Members list, click on the three-dot menu next to the user’s name.
- Select Copy Silent Token.
- Send the copied Silent Token to the user.
2. User Action
- Download the Silent App from the official web link. The app name should be Workstatus. If a previous version of the app is already downloaded, please delete it from the download directory before downloading the new app.
- Create a new text file in the same folder where the app was downloaded.
- Rename the file to: user_token_file
- Open this file and paste the Silent Token inside.
- Ensure the token file and app
.exefile are in the same location. - Right-click on the
.exefile → select Run as Administrator. - The Silent App will start running in the background.
- Go to People >> Click on Employees>> Invite New Member >> A drawer gets open
Enter Email- id, User Role, select invite mode as Silent , Skip Email Invitation(Silent Account Creation) >> Select the Mode of running the application ie Unlimited(will run through out day and night), Fixed mode(need to select the start and end time )
Then select days & Click on Invite .
Now, Go to "Employees>> Members" and search invited email id. ,Then click on 3 dots >> Download Silent App .
A mail is sent to the Organization Owner/Manager, where he need to click "download Setup File"
Once File is downloaded, transfer to User's PC >> Extract the zip folder (this zip will contain a Exe file & a User toke file).
right click on the Workstatus Exe file and click on Run as Administrator so App is auyomatically install and run in user system.
App is now installed in your PC and has started to run.
