Apps & URL Report – Overview
The Apps & URL Report in Workstatus provides detailed insights into how employees spend their working hours by tracking the applications they use and the websites they visit during tracked time. This report helps managers monitor productivity, analyze work patterns, and ensure employees are using work-related applications and websites.
Key Information Available in the Apps & URL Report
- Employee Name – Displays the name of the employee whose activity is being tracked.
- Application Name – Shows the desktop application used by the employee (e.g., Chrome, Excel, Visual Studio Code).
- Website URL – Displays the URLs or websites visited during tracked hours.
- Category – Classifies the application or website based on its type or productivity level (if configured).
- Time Spent – Shows the total time spent using a particular application or website.
- Activity Percentage – Indicates the employee's activity level while using the application or website.
- Date – Displays the date on which the activity was recorded.
- Duration – Shows the total duration the application or website was actively used.
The App and URL Report section lets you see how much your team has spend time on Apps and URL.
- Navigate to the Reports section and click on Apps & URL Report.
- Select the required Select By, Date Range, Productivity Type, Business Category, Member, Group By, and View Type criteria based on the data you want to generate.
- Click the Generate Report button to retrieve the report data.
- Click the Members dropdown and select members based on Departments, Teams, or Individual Members.
Date Filter in Apps & URL Report
- Use the Date Filter option to filter the report by:
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Custom Date Range
The Date Filter in the Apps & URL Report allows you to view application and website usage data for a specific time period. It helps managers analyze employee activity and productivity based on the selected timeframe.
Weekly
Select the Weekly option to view application and URL usage for the current or selected week. This filter helps you monitor the applications used, websites visited, and the total time spent on each throughout the week, enabling you to identify weekly productivity trends.
Monthly
Select the Monthly option to display application and URL usage data for the current or selected month. This filter provides a comprehensive overview of employee activity, helping managers analyze monthly work patterns, application usage, and website access for performance evaluation and reporting.
Date Range
Select the Date Range option to define a custom From and To date. This allows you to generate the Apps & URL Report for any specific period, making it useful for audits, productivity analysis, compliance reviews, and custom reporting.
Apps & URL Report – Filters, Send, Schedule, and Download
Filters
The Filters option allows you to refine the Apps & URL Report based on specific criteria. You can filter the report by employee, team, department, project, application, website (URL), activity type, and the selected date range to generate a more focused and relevant report.
- You can further refine the report by applying filters such as:
- Productivity Type
- Business Category
- Time Spent
- After selecting the desired filters, click the Apply button.
Send
The Send button allows you to share the Apps & URL Report directly via email. Simply select the recipient(s), enter the required details, and send the report without downloading it.
- To share the report, click the Send button and send the Apps & URL Report to the desired recipients.
Schedule
The Schedule option enables you to automate the delivery of the Apps & URL Report. You can configure the report to be emailed automatically at a predefined frequency, such as Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, to the selected recipients.
- To automate report delivery, click the Schedule Report button and configure the scheduling settings as required.
Download
The Download button allows you to export the Apps & URL Report to your local system. Depending on your account configuration, the report can be downloaded in Excel or CSV format for offline analysis, productivity tracking, auditing, or record-keeping.
- To export the report, click the Download button and select either PDF or CSV as the download format.
- You can view the report data in either Grouped View or Detailed View, depending on your preference.
- You can also organize the report data by selecting Group by Apps or Group by URLs.
